Allison has been married to her best friend, Jason, for the past year and currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English. In May 2010, Allison will graduate from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She is employed as an 8th grade English teacher with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
Although a Maryland girl at heart, Allison has spent much of her life traveling abroad. Her love for Maryland complements her love for travel. Experiencing life in England, Northern Ireland, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Turkey enables her to instill many aspects of these cultures in her everyday life in Maryland.
Allison supports her platform, “Conquering Childhood Obesity through a Healthy Lifestyle,” by encouraging children and their families to get active! She is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, cycle enthusiast, running coach, and certified sports nutritionist.
