MARCI MCNAIR, MRS. DELAWARE UNITED STATES 2009
Your Mrs. Delaware, Marci McNair, has an impressive track record in effecting changes and giving back to the community.
Marci graduated from Widener University School of Law (Dean’s List) and, while there, participated in the Delaware Civil Clinic, where she found her true calling: representing victims of domestic violence. One of her most prized possessions is the Certificate of Achievement for her outstanding work in the Civil Clinic. Passing the Delaware Bar Examination on the first try, Marci soon rolled up her sleeves and accepted a job at Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, Inc. (DVLS) as a Domestic Violence Attorney, continuing her commitment to protecting victims of domestic violence. In addition to her service at DVLS, Marci also volunteers to represent the best interests of abused children in Family Court.
For Marci it’s about helping others and trust. Many times she is the only barrier separating victims from despair. Her support has helped hundreds on a professional level while making it very personal.
Marci and Kevin McNair were married in August 2007 and soon found that they were able to accomplish more due to the support they draw from their union. He is a Fortune 500 IT executive and gives back to the community by volunteering as a K9 Search and Rescue handler. Marci has joined her husband in training Rocco (their German Shepherd) to assist police and rescue agencies searching for lost persons or those missing due to catastrophes. Rocco is currently undergoing a certification process through Mason-Dixon Rescue Dogs. Taking on the responsibilities of Mrs. Delaware requires support. Luckily Marci and Kevin are a team in many more ways than one.

Marci is both humbled and proud to represent the married women of Delaware. She is also grateful for the new opportunities the power of the crown will give her to assist organizations and individuals while effecting permanent positive changes.
