MARCI MCNAIR won the title of Mrs. Delaware United States 2009 at the one day spectacular state pageant held on March 15, 2009 where she competed as Mrs. North Wilmington.

The reigning Mrs. Delaware United States 2008, Dr. Ellie Baker Steenson was on hand to crown her successor. The dual title state pageant, held along with it's Ms. Delaware United States counterpart, was held at The Grand Opera House's -  Baby Grand Theatre - in Wilmington, Delaware . There was an American Idol theme and the opening showcased the ladies beautifully and was performed to "One Step at a Time" by Jordin Sparks.   Chris Saltalamacchio, Mr. Delaware 2008 was the vocal entertainment and Miss Heather's School of Dance (of Middletown, DE) were the dance entertainment for the evening.

After a spectacular show, the special award winners, finalists and winners were announced. 

FINALISTS:

The first runner up was Shana Williams, Mrs. Newark, 2nd runner up was Maurene Bullock, Mrs. Kent County and 3rd runner up was Fawn Stoms, Mrs. First State.  The other wonderful ladies that competed were:  Catherine Simon, Mrs. Central Delaware, Krista Brazell, Mrs. Christiana, April Hall, Mrs. Dover, Angie Hionis-Bell, Mrs. New Castle County, Aundrea Pookongnam, Mrs. Mid-State, Melissa Schulte, Mrs. Middletown, and Michaela Rieger, Mrs. State Capital.
